this is a picture of the three witches in macbeth. they are very vital to the story. they are known to be backstabbing and can use your trust against you. they contribute to the story for they are servants of hecate and their predictions prompt him to murder duncan. they use their knowing of the future to take advantage of and toy with the humans!

  

  

This is macbeth. he is a scottish general and the thane of Glamis. He is poorly influenced by the witches especially after they tell him he will be the thane of Cawdor! His responses to things due to the fact he has little to no experience is to use violence or even kill.he is never comfortable in his role as a criminal. he is the main protsagonist in this play/story.

AMBITION

AMBITION

Ambition I think is a form of motivation. In some ways it is inspirational but yes there is a dark side. People will go to extremes to get what they want or feel they need. In Macbeth there is ambition to become king and be successful. The witches use ambition in a negative way I think, they can be deceiving and backstab you using potions or other witch ways that might fool and surprise you. Personally, I am ambitious to do well in soccer, school, be a good friend, and be a good example for my 4 younger brothers. That’s what I am ambitious towards achieving but there are people or “characters” out there that are ambitious to do less positive things.

Fair is foul and foul is fair= This means that they are both the same and they equal each other out.

What bloody man is that, Macbeth says= Macbeth asking who the “bloody man” is .

"A drum, a drum! Macbeth doth come" = saying that Macbeth is coming.

Then Macbeth says "So foul and fair a day i have not seen= him saying he has never seen a worse day.

 Actor 3 then says "all hail Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter=worship Macbeth because he will be the king soon.

Macbeth says if chance will have me king, then chance will crown me" =him saying that if my chance he becomes king, then I will do it.

Actor 5 says "screw you're courage to the sticking place= just forget your courage and kill.

"Is this a dagger that i see before me?" =Macbeth asking if he is seeing a dagger.

"a little water clears us of this deed" = saying that holy water will make it better.

Blood will have blood = that blood has blood in it.

 He has kille'd me mother=that someone killed his mom.

Bleed, bleed damn'd spot= he wants something to bleed.

Out damn'd spot = hes killing someone.

Out out brief candle=someone might be close to dying.

Turn hell-hound turn=this means turn evil

The Alchemist

         I would venture to say the book "The Alchemist" has many different thoughts or ideas. Depending on your perspective you can get various things out of it. I personally found the main theme to be the word conspiring to finding each individuals personal legend. The collage above shows Santiago's journey to find his own personal legend. The people he met, the places he went, and where he started.

The importance of Literature

The Importance of Literature

            Literature is taught for a reason. All subjects are taught for a reason. But we wonder, why? What makes them significant? Reading, writing, and comprehending are all common themes found throughout English.

            Although correcting grammar or using more advanced vocabulary may seem annoying or useless. However, you benefit from it. Whether filling out an application, or writing an admittance paper for college these are skills you must have. I personally enjoy English class, it has always interested me. I am not particularly a fan or reading but I love to write. Poems, papers, essays, and poetry are all things I love to do. At one point in time I was very poor at writing, in fact I didn’t know how to use simple punctuation or even space my words correctly but as you grow you learn and acquire more skills.

            These skills are not “busy work” that you will never use again. They actually are very significant. If you see yourself with a job in the future, then most likely you will need to know how to use English skills. From a author, to a poet, to even a lawyer, writing and grammar are used.

            Some people who have access to a proper education don’t take the time to appreciate the information they have at their fingertips. We need to take advantage of the fact that we can read and write. There are much less fortunate people in this world that sadly, do not have a good education. They don’t have advanced vocab or writing technique, therefore it is unlikely they will attend college.

            North Broward is apart of the Meritas school organization. I have personally had the pleasure to go to Orlando and meet different students from all around the world. I in fact became friends with some and learned about the differences in our school and learning techniques. I think communicating with other students in different places helps you realize what you have available to you so you can truly try your hardest to pursuit a bright and successful future.

            Whether you are writing a blog post for a homework assignment or writing a 100 page paper, try to remember that we should be thankful for the opportunity rather then worrying about the little things that don’t matter.
